The thick skin of citric fruits is full of antioxidants (that are great for our skin) and have a high amount of flavonoids (that have anti-inflammatory properties and helps our body to absorb vitamin C). The properties that this skins have help reduce the high levels of cholesterol (LDL).
No one is going to eat a orange or a lemon like they eat an apple, right? But you can make a really good vitamin by mixing the hole fruit with milk, you can also put the zests of the fruit over the food or make some infusion teas.
