That’s right! Strawberries are not actually berries, but you might be surprised by some other fruits that are.
The definition of a berry is that it is a fleshy fruit that was originated by the ovary of a single flower with a seed, or seeds, embedded on the inside of the flesh. Or in a easier way to understand, berries have their seeds inside of the fruit. And as you can see, the seeds of the strawberries are all around them, so technically they are not berries.
But some fruits that you can’t even imagine are actually berries are bananas, kiwis, watermelons, avocado and tomatoes! Crazy, right?
